About the Role:

The Partnerships team at Vercel drives mutual success for Vercel, our partners, and our customers. As Director of Partnerships, Commerce & Channels, you will own the strategy, execution, and growth of Vercel’s Commerce and CMS/DXP partner ecosystem, leading both global and North America–based channel relationships to accelerate revenue today and evolve the ecosystem to fuel our next phase of growth.

The ideal candidate brings experience building strong partnerships in the composable ecosystem and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This leadership role is mission-critical to expanding our partner ecosystem.

If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, Austin, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership: Own and execute the strategy for Vercel’s Commerce, DXP/CMS, and Channel (Agency) partner ecosystem, with clear accountability for revenue impact, pipeline creation, and long-term strategic relevance. Continuously assess and evolve the partner portfolio based on customer needs, market trends, and product strategy.

  • Management: Lead a high-performing team and oversee a portfolio of global strategic partners, as well as regional partners critical to North America’s growth.

  • Pipeline generation: Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to devise regional plans that increase co-sell, co-market, and reciprocal deal opportunities.

  • Solution creation: Evolve Vercel’s partner positioning from frontend infrastructure to AI Cloud leader by shaping how partners build, sell, and deliver AI-driven digital experiences on Vercel.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product & Engineering, RevOps, and Finance to build scalable programs that drive partner growth.

  • Operational excellence: Establish repeatable, data-driven partner engagement models that enable mutual success for partners and internal sales teams.

  • Executive presence: Build and maintain executive relationships (CXO/VP-level) across partner organizations to align on joint strategy and initiatives.

  • Iterating to greatness: Lead quarterly business reviews, analyzing data and insights to inform strategic bets, pipeline health, and forecasts.

About You:

  • 10+ years of experience in partnerships or sales roles at high-growth SaaS companies, including 4+ years leading a revenue-driven partnerships team.

  • Proven success building and scaling strategic partnerships across Channel, Reseller, and Technology Alliances.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, drive executional excellence, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Excited by a leadership role that combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, a true player-coach mindset.

  • Deep network and understanding of the developer, infrastructure, and composable ecosystem.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven by data and results.

  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce and process-driven operations.

The San Francisco, CA OTE pay range for this role is $304,000.00 - $365,000.00. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
